Caring In Our Lifetime thrives due to generous community support. We, as a board of directors, can't thank you enough for donating funds to our organization. CIOL operates solely on volunteers, and we have no paid staff, unlike most non-profit organizations. In fact, the majority of us work full time jobs and have family obligations. We volunteer our limited spare time to CIOL because we all have a passion for helping individuals who are fighting breast cancer. 

Naturally, October is our busiest time of year as it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We're so excited the community rallies behind CIOL and wants to do fundraisers for us. Operating by volunteers allows CIOL to give back A LOT MORE money (95% of all funds raised) to our recipients because we are not paying any staff. Volunteers also means just that, we are volunteers. As much as we would like to send a CIOL representative to every event benefiting our organization, it's not always possible. Kindly be understanding of this, and please do not let this detour you from holding events for us and donating to CIOL. Remember, more of your donation dollars are able to benefit our recipients needing financial assistance because we do not have any paid staff.

We often get asked if CIOL can pay for advertising to promote fundraisers. While we have no advertising budget (we'd rather that money go to our recipients), we would love to help promote your event on our Facebook site. In the month of October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we do reach out to local media asking for assistance in promoting our events listing. 

Many donors like to do check presentations to us, which we love! While we are not always available to come to your place of business for check presentations you are welcome to come to one of our board meetings for a check presentation and photo op.
